What a strange place. The entire complex is huge, about a 10 minute walk from the garage to the entrance lobby. After waiting in line to check in for another 10 minutes, you proceed up to the atrium lobby which is actually a very nice space with the rooms surrounding it up 17 floors.
The room is a bit worn. For the amount charged, I expected a beautiful room. The room lacks a refrigerator and microwave. I was able to request a refrigerator however it didn't have a freezer. To use the microwave, I had to go go all the way to the lobby then over to the 2nd floor in the atrium, next to the gift shop and inside guest laundry. It was a really long walk for me. By time I returned to my room food was Luke warm. There was also a serious lack of outlets to charge electronic devices. I would prefer not to stay at this hotel again in the future. I did not enjoy my stay.
Super pet friendly. My dog's water bowl got broken and they brought us two bowls, a mat, and poop bags. But the ice machine on our floor has been broken since we got here and the elevator doesn't go to the first floor so you have to take the service elevator to the second floor and then transfer to the main elevator. The atrium is frighteningly high, so the upper floors aren't for people who are afraid of heights. Room service was pretty terrible, though. Definitely eat elsewhere. The steak was horrible and it took forever to arrive.
The TV remote didn't work, the lamps cords were frayed or glued to the walls, and at 930, the chicken delivery guy knocks on your door thinking that you ordered chicken.
Unlike the lobbies, the rooms are dated and poorly appointed. They must not believe in bedside tables since they put large round tables in their place. The queen size beds are more.like fulls and the headboards aren't actually attached to anything. When you sit on the end of the bed, the whole thing tips up.
Worst of all, there are no outlets within a reasonable distance from the bed. They put a cheap power strip at the desk but 4/5 plugs were already taken.
Location at Uptown is great- convenient to the interstates, the airport, and plenty to do with great restaurants nearby. The staff was all wonderful- from the valets, to the porter staff, to the check-in folks. A+ on guest service! The room was clean and nicely appointed- large windows, comfy beds, clean bathroom with a large makeup mirror and plenty of hot water. Really enjoyed my stay!
Lovely hotel--nice, comfortable room. Staff was very pleasant. Would have loved to try dinner buffet, but it opened too late for anyone trying to attend concert at BJCC that night. Had dinner across the hall at smaller cafe. Good food, limited but interesting menu. Never did locate an ice machine & only drink machine was located in Guest Laundry, which was kind of inconvenient. Overall a nice stay though!!
The hotel is almost round which means that the rooms are smaller because they are squished at both ends.
