The African American receptionist is so rude and insensitive. Someone needs to replace her entirely or have her go through some patient sensitivity training.
Awful staff, find another place, trust me. No patient satisfaction. Won't book you even if you're very sick or hurt for the next 3 weeks, doctors can't find 1 time period in 3 weeks to meet someone. 0/10, awful.
I saw Dr. Clark, she was amazing! Extremely attentive, kind and very knowledgeable. The only reason I'm giving this place 1 star is strictly due to the African American receptionist at the front, who first when I called in, told me they weren't seeing anybody today. I decided to go anyway and what do you know, I was the ONLY person there. When I told her the reason for my visit she proceeds to roll her eyes and say "and you decided to come here?" And laugh. Dr. Clark ran some test that saved me from a possible blood clot.. I don't know what type of sensitivity training (apparently none) she has gone through, but I can almost guarantee they have probably lost a lot of money with her being the first person you interact with. A few minutes after me, a lady walked in with a fever and she tried to tell her she couldn't be seen.. then asked her why she came there. I loved my Dr, but the lady at the front was rude, not very personable... and made the experience distasteful overall.
Choosing Dr. Ticola as our primary care physician was one of the best decisions my husband and I made after moving back to Birmingham. Dr, Ticola is personable, thorough, listens to his patients, and is an excellent diagnostician. The staff is friendly and professional, and the clinic appears to operate seamlessly, from the quick automated check-in to the always smiling and knowledgeable receptionist, to the easy check-out process. In spite of being a busy facility, St. Vincent's Primary Care hits the ball out of the park for all-around great health care in this area.
If I could rate this place with a ZERO I would. I work in the healthcare field and the receptionist/customer service at this location is Horrible!!! I scheduled an appt because I have a 15 month old and had not seen a PCP since before having my child (so I was considered a new patient). I have several things I wanted to discuss with a PCP. My first appt didn’t work out because the receptionist left me sitting in the waiting room for over 30 minutes after multiple attempts of me trying to check in at the desk. I had to leave due to timeframe. Second appt I overheard the receptionist tell another patient over the phone that the doctor I was there to see would not be there at all this week. No one bothered to call and inform me of this prior to me showing up. I went up to the desk and the receptionist again looked to be surprised I was there and scurried to say she was looking to see if another doctor could see me. TOTAL DISORGANIZATION.
The doctors and the rest of the staff are extremely nice and helpful. Just that from desk receptionist is terrible.
