Dr. Rao was very professional and seemed quite knowledgeable. However, when I phoned back a couple of days later with some questions
and was told that they would be given to the Dr. and someone would call me back, I never heard from anyone. Disappointed about this.
I'm very picky about who sees my mom especially since I've taken her to so many and same bad results with the long waits, cold and unfriendly atmosphere and the Dr. that acts like he or she don't want you to be there. This is the best facility with the best Dr. I've been to by far!
Easy to find, easy parking and will help you out if you need help getting mom or dad out of your car. There is a very friendly young lady just inside the door that will come help you out, all you have to do is step inside and ask. We have never been there over an hour and a half and that says a lot compared to all the others (and there's been lots of others) Very friendly associates and they don't treat you like a number like most places we've been. I give this place and the Dr. two thumbs up
Medicine like a fast food restaurant. Walk in and receive a pager that blinks and buzzes to go pay. Wait to go to another waiting area. Many doctors, one phone line, must get transferred a couple of times just to leave a message. Appointments cancelled by email and rescheduled for 3 weeks later in the middle of a potentially lethal condition requiring surgical intervention. I never felt like a person there. I wasn't put on the standard treatment for my condition. The only decent advice I was given was to travel for surgery. I'm seeing a UAB doctor now.
I am a retired dentist and my wife is a Nurse Practitioner. We both recognize excellence, when we are being treated. I would only allow Cardiovascular Associates to treat both my father and myself. There is a difference in CV care available to the Birmingham area patients. Should the need arise, any other family member will be directed to this fine and reasonable group of doctors. I especially want to give a Gold Standard recognition to Dr. Stephen Bakir and Dr. Himanshu Gupta. Theses great doctors would not be there if there were there not equally qualified other doctors at their clinics.
I was a patient of Dr. Morris for years and then Dr. Dye until he recently retired. I could not have entrusted my health to two better physicians. They were both very caring and reassuring and I always left with a lot of confidence. I never had to wait to the point that it bothered me. A great place.
