This pizza place is really good. The pizza is made fresh, and they absolutely load it down with cheese (which I love). They do other stuff too, but the pizza is what you want. My personal recommendation is the Cassandra. A little spicy, really cheesy, and so so so good. It is a tiny place located in Homewood, but their sign is large enough that you can’t really miss it. Parking can get a little hairy, but it usually isn’t busy enough to worry about having to park in the bleedover lot. Oh and they also have a pretty decent sized bar with a T.V., if you wanted a low-key place to watch a game. Give it a shot if you’re tired of all the other pizza places but want something really good.
Food is always good, but the service is terrible. The female bartender was one of the most unfriendly and unhappiest people I have met. She never made eye contact and was rude in all responses. Such a shame to have her represent such a delicious place.
This is one of my favorite places. Always good food and good friendly service; the spaghetti with meatballs is my favorite, hard to beat.
Old-school Italian eatery with plenty of pasta and pizza to choose from. Dishes are tasty, on the opulent side, and of good quality. Presentation is lacking, interior design questionable, and menu doesn't provide specifics about gluten, nuts, vegetarian, halal, kosher or other dietary needs. Beer selection is decent but not local, staff is friendly, homey but far from hip, and most diners are AARP eligible. Old school, honest food.
Great local spot. Friendly, casual vibe with a generally slow pace. My favorite place to grab a beer and pizza on a lazy Saturday afternoon. Pizza is excellent with tons of cheese. Pasta dishes are fantastic as well. Don't come here if you're in a hurry, but if you want a cozy spot to chill with some friends over a few beers and great Italian, DeVinci's is perfect.
