This "mental health insurance" is really a joke. It's really not insurance I would just call it an EAP where they off 1-3 sessions entirely for each person in your family. They have a person with no qualifications to determine denial of claims. They don't follow the clinical research to determine approval or denial of claims. They will only cover seeing a psychiatrist to prescribe each member of your family medicine. There response is "that diagnosis should be treated by medication only." So, if you are a company deciding if you want to use them please reconsider using them for your employees for mental health coverage.
This company very possibly causes more harm than good to those who have been referred to them. They will not let you speak to the personnel who evaluate your case. The doctor overseeing my case has never spoken to me or contacted me in any way and makes unnecessary medical recommendations with absolutely no review of any of my medical records. The office staff are always unable to answer any questions; instead, they parrot the same phrases over and over. I have asked several times to speak to people higher up, but they refuse to let me speak to anyone.
