Was helped by Raymond who was extremely helpful and professional. Great experience.
I never rooted for the demise of Sears, but now I am not so sure. Last two purchases have been brittle products, and when you go to get them fixed, you are routed into a Byzantine maze that does not have the purpose of helping you. We were going to buy a refrigerator here, but no more. I am done. If you have not yet bought from them, don't. Two stars instead of one because a couple of the people were nice, and I hope they can find work when Sears finally goes belly-up.
This store is terrible. We ordered a refrigerator online and it was a nightmare trying to just schedule the delivery. After multiple phone calls, left messages, no returned calls, and a rude assistant manager, we finally had a delivery with a third party because we were outside of their delivery area (something that was never noted on the order). When it was delivered, one of the door shelves was cracked in two. There is no doubt that it was like that in the store because the refrigerator had been a floor mode and was totally wrapped up for the delivery. When I called to get a replacement, after arguing with me about how it couldn't be being delivered right at that moment, I was told that the part was being ordered and would arrive at our home in a maximum of two weeks. Here we are two weeks later and I am going through the same run around and everyone just seems confused. Although we got the refrigerator at a discount, it is not worth the headache or time. They have no respect for their customers or their time.
I stopped into the Sears Outlet on 10/22/2017 with my girlfriend on the off chance they might have some swivel patio chairs even though it is October. They actually had a set and a table that I really liked. The list price was $899 but there was a sticker that said 65% off list price and I even confirmed it with the sales associate who confirmed it with the manager. I sent my girlfriend to my house to unload the truck and come back so we could take them home. But when the sales associate rang it up the total was over $600 which was obviously wrong. 65% of $899 is $315 and on this day they were giving an extra 10% off. Turns out the 65% sticker should not have been on that item and the sale price was really $575 (35% off) instead of $315 (65% off) even though no item in the store had a 35% off sticker. They would not honor the 65% sticker or even agree to meet in the middle at 50% which I felt was fair. So unfortunately when my girlfriend returned I had to leave without purchasing the furniture. I realize mistakes are made all the time, but most companies attempt to make things right by the customer. I guess Sears has a different opinion of what is right, which might explain why the store was empty on a Sunday. But I am sure it won't be long before Sears is bankrupt and I will be able to purchase some patio furniture from the liquidation sale.
I was able to find a great refridgerator for a GREAT price! My salesman Raymond was very helpful also!
