Nice venue to listen to different kinds of music.
The thing this venue offers that, imo, is unique to Birmingham, is the live music quality and price combination. They get Texas County and real talent in other geenres, usually for $15 to $25. Bartenders arw quick and friendly. Bathrooms are subpar, but no worse than a football stadium or something. Tell someone you're going here, and you may get a negative reaction. It's really unwarranted. It's just the age of the place. It's been around forever, and people think it's a dirty college bar from their old days. Well, downstairs is. But, if a band you enjoy is playing, buy the tickets. They won't be expensive & won't have additional fees. Be sure to check seating availability, if any.
