The food was very good. The pita was the best I've ever had. The reason I didn't give five stars was because they forgot give 50% discount for the appetizer course, which was one of the daily specials today.

Hope you like very slow service and dry gyros... Also very loud inside due to the concrete floors and ceilings. Make sure to bring a sweater because it's also unreasonably cold in the restaurant.
Gyros and salads with a nice twist. The atmosphere is welcome, and the location fits - Birmingham Midtown. They also have daily food and price specials that are well worth the attention. The food is good, tasty. I would call this a go-to lunch spot.
Put in a to-go order at the bar to take back to the hospital. Simple order: a plain gyro. Meat and bread only. Nothing else. Guy taking my order said okay, and gave me a receipt. Receipt didn't say plain, so I asked him just to be sure he understood I wanted nothing on it. He assured me he did and the order would be correct. Got back to the hospital, and gyro was loaded with sauce. Son wouldn't eat it. How hard is it to throw meat on bread and wrap it up? Apparently very hard for the people who work at Glory Bound Gyro.
EDIT: Within a couple hours of posting this, the manager contacted me to let me know he had refunded the gyro, and made every effort to correct the problem. Impressed with their response, and if I were in town more frequently, I'd give them a second chance! Updated rating from 1 to 3 stars just for the excellent response from management.
