The outside was nice with a so-so view, but they put up a wooden cover above everyone's head, thus defeating the whole purpose of a rooftop bar. It was bizarre. The whole thing seemed very pretentious and the drinks were overpriced. Not to mention once we FINALLY got served at the bar, they were out of several drinks we were asking for. Just a poor experience with really poor service.
Well, another 15 minutes go by and we still haven't seen any drinks yet. We decided to just go get my card and leave. When we get to the bar and ask to get my card so we can leave, one of the other waiters sees that the drinks were already prepped on the bar ready for us. He did offer them to us for free as a consolation, but at this point we were just ready to leave. He apologized and assured us we wouldn't be charged, handed me my card back, and we were on our way.
For anyone wanting to visit the roof top bar, first just know there is a line in the lobby where you have to wait for people to leave before you can go up. Once we arrived to the actual bar, I understood why- it's TINY. The service was HORRENDOUS. I honestly can't emphasize how truly terrible it was. One bartender looked like he had no idea why he was even there, two of the bartenders wouldn't stop chatting with each other even though the bar was packed with customers, and the woman bartender (who finally helped us after we stood at the bar for 15+ minutes) looked to be fed up with the whole thing. There's only one cash register, causing a huge backup in getting the customers paid up and out of the way. This was the biggest turn off for me and the main reason I'll never, ever go back to this horrible bar.
We then wait about 45 minutes for our drinks and nothing ever came. I decided to go check on them and on the way I see the waitress. She apologized because she forgot to put our order in... I said that was fine and went back to my seat because I just wanted to relax and would be fine if we received them soon enough.
The only thing that needs improvement is service! It's slow & they have had a high turnover! They have really cool furniture but no real tables to eat your appetizers on. They dont have Stella beer or Heineken, these should be a staple at all bars! These things are easily fixed. We will keep going back if the Service improves & they stock the beer my husband likes!
We love this place! The atmosphere is chic, cool & relaxing! The view of our city from the roof is spectacular!
Amazing views from atop The elyton hotel! This place is seriously one of the coolest places to go hangout downtown no matter what the season. Just went last week and they plenty of heaters and comfy seating. The drinks were great and the food was amazing. Definitely going back to this one.
The Allegro Brillante was great and not too pricy. We were the only ones brave enough to venture outside in low 50 degree weather. They'll turn the heaters on for you and we came prepared. Nice and ambient with good service. I'd come back again! Hours are especially good on Sunday evenings.
Well, if that wasn't bad enough, I see just a few days later that they did charge me! $25 for two drinks I never received... I understand this place is fairly new, but I would not recommend anyone going here!!
I went there on a Friday night with my girlfriend to try out the bar. We were only planning on getting a drink or two and then heading on our way. When we arrived, a few of the servers walked past us without asking if our orders had been taken yet. We had to grab the attention of someone just to put our order in.
