Love going here on my lunch breaks. Covered pavilion, where you can eat. Nice walking path around the lake that you can wrap around in under a hour.
Disclaimer: this is a slightly biased review due to the fact I grew up with this park. That being said, this is an excellent place for any age. Whether you want to have a picnic, play sports, jog, or just take the dogs or kids for a walk, this park is perfect. It has two safe playgrounds, multiple pavilions, lots of open field, and a 1.5 mile looping path. It even has a lake and volleyball fields. As an added bonus, Veterans park is frequented by ice cream trucks during the summer. So I highly recommend this park.
Large green space, restrooms, 5K jogging/walking trail, water fountains, playground for children, all well kept by Hoover/North Shelby
People of all ages can enjoy here, kids play area, running tracks, couple of ponds to fish
Great place to take the family! The only reason it's not 5 stars is because of the lack of shade over the playground, but we go all the time. You can run the trail, bring a picnic for underneath the 2 large awnings, host a birthday party, feed the ducks, go fishing, attend the Friday night movies in the summer. Hoover does a great job of making this place for the community!
