Avondale Park is a wonderful spot in Birmingham! It's well-kept, beautiful, and most importantly, it's functional. The park hosts everything from local baseball leagues, to concerts, to an annual movie series that is a huge draw for families and locals. Great place to head to on the weekends for a fun outing or just to get a run in after work during the week. We're proud to have it just a stone's throw away from our office!

The park is nice! I enjoyed walking my dog around the pond. The only issue was some sketchy characters hanging out under the pavilion.

One of the best parks in the city, IMO, Avondale Park has a great amphitheater, baseball fields, and walking paths(dirt and paved) it is also in the heart of Avondale area with plenty of food and libations available.

Very beautiful ! Has nice clean play area for the children. Has amazing scenery including a garden . It even has a nature trail ! Lots of sidewalk to walk dogs too - However don't forget the Pooper Scooper ! There is nothing worse than stepping into a pile of Dog S ***

This is one of Birmingham's best parks. It has a storied history and has enjoyed a rebirth since the 1990s. There is plenty of parking beside the ball fields, with level walking paths that meander around the small lake. If you're feeling adventurous, climb through the hillside amphitheater and explore the woods and thickets, but beware of very steep slopes. There are rock walls and old flagstone paths amid this little wilderness, hinting at earlier chapters in the park's long history. The Avondale Villa, an early 20th century building with medieval touches, occupies the highest ground and can be rented for events. The library on 5th Avenue is a great local branch with a picture-window view of the park and some nice meeting spaces.
