Awsome place
Didn't attend Green Acres Middle School. I DID attend the former Green Acres Elementary School from 1976 to 1981. I count those as some of the MOST bittersweet years of my, then, young life. As I am Gay, I was teased & outright BULLIED so very much, during Elementary & Junior high school, that (though I had a natural thirst for knowledge) I would cry, beg & plead with my mother to not have to go to school. And, this bullying did NOT end with my fellow classmates. NO. Teachers & other parents were involved, as well. I pray that the Birmingham City School System has made SOME progress in the area of bullying & HOW it is dealt with, since those days, for the sakes of other students like myself.
