It's a good place to place a bet or come and watch the game. The food is surprisingly very good but the customer service, not so much. :( Oh, yeah. When you have a drink at 11:00 in the morning no one looks at you strange, you will have plenty of company. ;)
You pay and tune your radio into the station they tell you to. Then you drive at your own pace if not crowded and look at the various lights that are synchronized to the music. We went at the very beginning of December and it was not packed at all and we had very little wait time and were able to go through at our leisure. They even give you a coupon for after the holidays if you choose to come back. I think it is a great way to look at lights with little kids and stay in the warmth of your car.
30 years ago this was the most beautiful facility imaginable. Today, it looks like it hasn't been cleaned in 30 years. An absolute dump that appears to be beyond repair, and that's just on the inside. The track really isn't safe for racing. They do not groom the track between races, there is a water leak under the track that causes a constant track-wide wet spot on the home stretch. Numerous "non race" due to equipment failures such as the lure stopping mid-race, or the door on the starting box not opening completely. Good luck understanding the rotating track announcers and their coded language. My advice is STAY AWAY.
This place is awesome! Beautiful lighting every where. Please people take your kids they will enjoy it.
We went to see the Christmas light show here. It was well worth the $25! Santa at the beach was the theme and it was super cute!
